ABOUT PALMETTO

History

Palmetto Industries International was founded in 1994 in Augusta, Georgia, USA. Subsequently a joint

venture was established in India to manufacture FIBC bags. The following year

ENTREPRENEUR Magazine recognized Palmetto as one among the fastest growing companies in

the United States.

Along the way, Palmetto has purchased new equipment, expanded their facilities and added product

lines. Recently Palmetto announced the launch of a new production unit in India that will be a

consolidation of Palmetto Indiaʼs previous FIBC bulk bag campus with the additional facility that

houses the production of the small Woven Polypropylene (WPP) bags laminated with BOPP films.

The consolidation of equipment into one state-of-the-art facility uniquely positions Palmetto today as

the only company with a global headquarters in North America to own a vertically integrated FIBC

manufacturing facility overseas.
