Since 1994, Palmetto Industries International has been the driving force to develop the Indian and Chinese FIBC manufacturing markets. During a time when no other US based flexible packaging company was doing business in these markets, Palmetto entered into joint ventures and had exclusive marketing agreements. In fact, the first FIBC exported from India was for Palmetto and was made with in-house technology.
As one may be aware, these markets are very mature and have capitalized on the advancement in
technology. As Palmetto grew to become North America's largest distributor, we decided to acquire
one of our suppliers to become the only North American-owned FIBC company to invest in its own
vertically integrated manufacturing facility overseas.
