Fabric/Webbing Strength & Elongation

 

At the time of doffing the roll, the loom supervisors are to collect ½ meter fabric and webbing from the cut end. The GSM and mesh count is checked and a sample cut 5 cm x 20 cm in both warp and weft directions is loaded into the FIE machine to determine the strength and elongation.

Sample fabrics taken in both directions and kept in QUV machine for 72 or 144 hours and the Tensile Strength is taken before and after UV exposure. This gives % of retention of Tensile Strength of the fabric.
Cutting & Printing Quality

The QC supervisors check the first cut piece of the Work Order, and random inspection will also be

carried out during the production process. In the printing department, all pieces are visually inspected

during the printing process.

Bag Inspection

Bags are inspected at each level of production to ensure conformance to all specifcications and performance characteristics.

The final areas are checked during production of bags:

  • The stitching of the inlet and outlet seams if not circular woven.

  • Outlet closure dimension.

  • Inlet and outlet attachment seams with the top and bottom panels.

  • Diameter and length of the inlet and outlet.

  • Top and bottom panel cut dimensions.
