The FIBC is placed on a hard, flat surface and subjected to a uniformly superimposed load, across
the top of its contents, by utilizing the hydraulic cylinder described in the Top Lift Test and a pressure
plate covering the top of the FIBC.
The applied load is equal to the combined maximum permissible gross mass of the number of similar
FIBCs that may be stacked on top of the FIBC during transport, multiplied by 1.8.
The load is maintained for a period of 24 hours.
The FIBC is inspected in accordance with the criteria for passing the test.
